Prospective Auditor

Job Description:
A remote position is available for a Prospective Auditor responsible for reviewing claims data identified by a web-based AI tool. The auditor will verify the accuracy of codes at the highest level of specificity, ensuring compliance and accuracy before forwarding them to providers for review. This role primarily focuses on Medicare and Medicare Advantage claims. The position offers an ongoing opportunity with no predetermined end date, supporting high-volume audits using the Innovaccer platform.
Responsibilities:
- Auditing the claims and data pulled by the Innovaccer platform to verify accuracy
- Reviewing appropriate documentation to support coding decisions
- Making final determinations on the accuracy and specificity of codes before they are sent for provider review
- Managing a high volume of reviews daily, typically between 50 and 80 cases
- Utilizing platforms such as 3M coding tool, and electronic medical records including Epic, Athena and Cerner
Requirements:
- 1+ years of risk adjustment coding, HCC coding or outpatient diagnosis coding experience
- Active coding certification such as CPC, CRC, CPMA, CDEO, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT or CCDS
- Experience with daily review volumes of 50 to 80 cases using Innovaccer
- Proficiency with 3M coding tool and electronic medical records like Epic, Athena and Cerner
- Ability to work remotely in a dedicated environment
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay for this position is $27.00 per hour. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
