Job Description:
A leading organization is seeking a highly motivated Treasury Accountant I to support its finance operations. The successful candidate will handle a variety of cash management and treasury functions, including account reconciliations, bank analysis, and reporting activities. This role involves developing desktop procedures, monitoring payment transactions daily, and posting bank transactions accurately. Additionally, the Treasury Accountant I will participate in preparing documentation for internal and external audits. This position offers the flexibility of remote work and requires a candidate capable of contributing to a dynamic team environment, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining high standards of accuracy in financial processes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily and monthly journal entries, including split payments, corrections, bank returned items and reclass transactions.
• Maintain and reconcile various balance sheet accounts in a timely manner, ensuring their accuracy through proper documentation of reconciling journal entries.
• Gather, validate and summarize accounting or statistical data efficiently.
• Identify, research, and resolve discrepancies related to payments and coordinate postings to accounts receivable systems.
• Cross-train with team members on different functions to provide backup support as needed.
• Participate in system testing efforts to support system improvements and updates.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1+ years of relevant experience in treasury or accounting functions
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel supporting reconciliations and process improvements
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with stakeholders
• Knowledge of PC and mainframe software systems currently used by the organization
• Ability to work flexible hours during periods of high workload
• Capable of thinking analytically and making sound judgments from data analysis

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay for this position is $21.22 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search and encourage candidates to apply even if they believe their desired compensation may fall outside of this range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
