Assistant Vice President of Operations

Job Description:

The Assistant Vice President of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational strategy, process improvement and cross-functional execution across the company. The role oversees key areas including planning, metrics/reporting, operational audits and enterprise risk management. It also provides direct leadership to the project management office and corporate communications, while aligning closely with all major business units (claims, finance, IT, HR, legal, etc.).
 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated operational plans, reporting frameworks and alignment with financial forecasting.

  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies and automation opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, support enterprise risk initiatives and manage external audits.

  • Manage and mentor departmental teams and promote cross-functional collaboration.

  • Act as liaison with leadership, ensuring operations align with strategic initiatives.
     

Requirements:

  • 8+ years in operations leadership, preferably in insurance services

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

  • Strong knowledge of insurance operations, KPIs, ERM and compliance

  • Proven experience in project management, process improvement and team leadership

  • Strong data and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational tech tools

  • High EQ, executive communication and ability to work across all levels
     

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $180k-225k. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
