Business Development Executive
Job Description:
Our client is looking for a Business Development Executive to join their growing team. This role will support the Director of Distribution with partner management by building, developing and managing broker partnerships. Their responsibilities include providing ongoing education to brokers regarding the underwriting team’s capabilities, identifying new brokers and distribution channels, and managing broker performance. The professional will serve as an external facing company representative, attending speaking events, training programs and industry conferences as needed. The company is offering a rich benefits package, six-figure base salary and a flexible remote work schedule for those on the western side of the United States.
Responsibilities:
- Attend regular meetings with brokers both virtually and in-person to foster growth and build good relationships.
- Locate, onboard and train new distribution partners.
- Act as the point of contact for brokers, triaging to internal stakeholders when necessary.
- Collaborate broker visits with internal teams, particularly underwriting, to share pertinent information, conduct visits and provide feedback.
- Attend trade shows, conferences and other industry events to further business objectives.
- Manage special projects, assist in data collection to keep CRM up-to-date, prepare reports and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in professional liability insurance
- Background related to medical or hospital professional liability (preferred)
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Designations such as ARM, RPLU, CPCU or other (preferred)
- Active property and casualty producer license or ability to get one within 60 days of hire
- Ability to travel to industry events, assigned brokers and main office as necessary
