Claims Associate

Job Description:
A provider of insurance coverage options for physicians, physician groups, senior care facilities, dentists and direct support companies is looking for a Claims Associate. The Claims Associate will assist with the claims litigation management program. This collaborative and dynamic professional will work with the director of claims and across the organization, interfacing with leadership and various departments in support of the organization’s long-term goals and objectives to drive profitable results. This position is fully work-from-home.

Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the vision and goals for legal operations.
  • Monitor monthly claims reporting to ensure accuracy.
  • Attend and assist with monthly claims meetings.
  • Help manage panel counsel.
  • Maintain compliance with litigation and billing guidelines and manage invoices from firms for processing.
  • Organize the claims files and database to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with the claims payment process.
  • Communicate between law firms and company leadership about claim status and potential issues.
  • Complete state and data bank reporting.
  • Coordinate claim data reviews with vendors.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of claims or litigation leadership experience in medical malpractice, dental malpractice, long-term care and insurance coverage
  • Strong foundation in legal operations and billing systems
  • Experience in adapting and implementing claims transformation efforts, including processes and changes in technology
  • Demonstrated strength in project management and achieving business goals and objectives
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; claims licenses and insurance professional designations (preferred)
