Clinical Nurse Reviewer

Job Description:
A health plan is looking for a Clinical Nurse Reviewer to perform clinical reviews against InterQual and clinical criteria, write up clinical review summaries for medical directors, write responses to providers and members in plain language, and resolve cases within regulatory timeframes. This opportunity is anticipated to be 3+ months in duration and work-from-home.

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in Rhode Island
  • 3+ years of experience working in a managed care environment
  • 1+ year of direct experience conducting utilization reviews
  • Exemplary written communication skills
  • Knowledge of utilization management and/or the clinical appeals process
