Healthcare Economics Specialist

Job Description:
A health plan is looking for a Healthcare Economics Specialist to develop financial reporting and analytics to measure return on investment and support cross-functional initiatives as they pertain to networking and contracting. In addition, this professional will act as the liaison between the finance and information technology teams to maximize the effectiveness of data sources and quality lead development, as well as produce cost, revenue and utilization reporting. The specialist will create financial and predictive models to evaluate the feasibility and key success drivers for new contracts, renegotiations, and scoping network opportunities and initiatives. This opportunity is anticipated to be 6+ months in duration and is work-from-home.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working in healthcare economics
- Understanding of healthcare finance, reimbursement models and cost containment strategies
- Extensive knowledge of spreadsheets and relational databases
- SQL and Tableau experience
- Knowledge of healthcare systems
