Job Description:

A health plan is looking for a Non-Clinical Intake Coordinator to provide support to the utilization management department with approvals and denials. This professional will accurately verify member eligibility, enter data into authorization system for admission, and may perform initial coding of admission and surgical procedures for precertification. This opportunity is anticipated to be five months in duration and is work-from-home.
 

Requirements:

  • 2 years experience as an intake coordinator with a health plan
  • Provider front or back-office experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology including CPT and ICD-9 codes
  • Intermediate experience in MS Office
