Investment Accountant

Job Description:
A property and casualty company looking for an Investment Accountant to support the preparation of financial data for quarterly and annual reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), the Securities and Exchange Commission, statutory accounting principles (SAP), and other regulatory commission requirements. In addition, this professional will assist in month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting close, reporting for investment accounting and ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements. This opportunity is anticipated to be 3+ months in duration and is work-from-home.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of property and casualty accounting experience, including investment accounting, complex reconciliations and general ledger work
- Knowledge of GAAP and SAP
- Experience in implementation or conversion to a new finance and accounting software package
