Part-Time Individual Life Underwriter

Job Description:
A life insurance client is looking for a part-time Individual Life Underwriter to support with the selection of risks for life insurance applicants that will produce an acceptable mortality ratio for the company and analyze/classify applications for life insurance in accordance with established underwriting principles. This opportunity is anticipated to be 2+ months in duration and is work-from-home.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of MIB, how it works and how to code files accordingly
  • Knowledge and understanding of both the medical and non-medical aspects of life insurance and their effects on risk
  • Commitment to working at least 1 hour between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. MST to overlap and correspond with team members
