Pricing Actuary (RILA)

Job Description:
This actuarial role focused on RILA pricing and profitability within the Retirement Actuarial group.  It is a highly visible and collaborative position that creates value for policyholders and the company's annuity products. The role will engage various company stakeholders to develop innovative RILA product offerings.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead a section or function within a product line, such as product development, financial reporting, management reporting, experience studies, risk management reporting and actuarial research.
  • Oversee actuarial reports, projects and analysis.
  • Improve processes and create efficiencies in reporting, documentation and transparency.
  • Supervise small actuarial teams, including analysts and actuarial students.
  • Commitment to self-development and advanced industry knowledge.
  • Assist with division and actuarial team strategy.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with strong quantitative background
  • 5 to 7 years of insurance related actuarial experience
  • 7 to 8 actuarial exams. ASA designation required
  • RILA product experience
  • Experience with actuarial modeling software is a plus (MG-ALFA preferred)
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively, including managing projects

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $125,000 - $208,400 annually.
