Job Description:
An employee benefits third-party administrator (TPA) is seeking a Regional Vice President of Direct to Employer (DTE) Sales to join their team. The Regional Vice President of DTE Sales will manage a team of 5+ sales executives who will sell self- and level-funded products to new employer groups within the geographic area. This professional must be a highly motivated self-starter focused on new business achievement. The successful candidate must be able to communicate as a knowledgeable professional to carriers, members and employers.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business in designated territory and demographics.
  • Research local companies for target marketing.
  • Initiate lead appointments to prospective clients and meet with them to develop business relationships.
  • Assist in the set up and implementation of new business.
  • Develop an ongoing sales strategy to cross-sell to existing clients.
  • Create sales presentations for prospective clients.
  • Be a student of the industry to remain knowledgeable of new products and services, as well as broker practices and trends.
  • Be aware of competitors and their initiatives and analyze competitive threats.
  • Take ownership for the accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of services to new clients.
  • Review plan summary documents and contracts for accuracy.
  • Maintain proactive communication with pipeline prospects.
  • Maintain and update client records and sales projections in Salesforce.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 3+ years of sales management experience with an insurance carrier, managed care organization, agency, TPA or related organization
  • Knowledgeable in both self-funded and fully-insured products, as well as financial arrangements
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze data
