Job Description:
An excess professional liability risk retention group, also operating an insurance brokerage that provides insurance products and services to healthcare entities and providers nationwide, is seeking a Vice President of Risk and Quality. This senior leadership position is responsible for the executive management and performance of the risk and quality operations and reports directly to the president. The Vice President of Risk and Quality is both operational and client facing and will require the ability to coordinate with other leaders and departments within the organization. The vice president will bring a high degree of expertise in designing and implementing risk management, safety, and quality and loss control services. This role is work-from-home.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement visionary risk management, patient safety and quality strategic plans for the company.
• Directly manage, evaluate and motivate the risk management staff.
• Develop and deploy safety, loss control and risk management services to mitigate risk exposures that are inherent to healthcare systems.
• Develop content and obtain speakers for education webinars.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of applicable experience in a hospital or clinical setting
• Experience with medical professional risk management with an insurance carrier
• Healthcare clinical, risk management, patient safety and quality experience
• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree (preferred)
• CPHRM or CPHQ certification
