Director of Stop Loss Sales

Job Description:
The Director of Stop Loss Sales leads efforts to promote and sell insurance products within an assigned territory, focusing on building strong relationships with brokers, third-party administrators, and self-funded employer groups to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients across the territory.

Research market conditions to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities.

Educate brokers, TPAs, and employer groups on product offerings and value.

Plan and participate in meetings, seminars and workshops to support sales initiatives.

Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and performance targets.

Deliver high-quality customer service to support client satisfaction and retention.

Respond to client inquiries and resolve concerns in a timely, professional manner.

Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing service.

Provide sales forecasts and share market insights with leadership.

Track competitor activity and maintain awareness of industry developments.

Stay informed through ongoing learning opportunities such as conferences and training.

Support and mentor junior team members as needed.

Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Adhere to company policies and organizational standards.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or a related field

Demonstrated experience in sales and marketing, preferably in stop loss or health insurance
-
Knowledge of self-funded health plans and stop loss coverage
-
Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and ability to work independently

Ability to travel within the assigned territory

Valid driver’s license required
