Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant III to support financial reporting and statutory accounting functions on a contract basis. This role will focus on month-end close activities, statutory filings and complex accounting processes while serving as a subject matter expert in GAAP and statutory regulations. The position is fully remote and operates on MST business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review month-end financial reporting and financial statements accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support quarterly statutory filing preparation and documentation.
• Respond to audit inquiries and provide supporting financial analysis as needed.
• Perform complex reconciliations and complete journal entries.
• Serve as a GAAP and statutory accounting expert within the accounting team.
• Manage and support complex accounting processes and reporting workflows.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of insurance industry experience, including statutory filings
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Experience with Workday General Ledger and reporting

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $45 – $48 per hour.
