Job Description:
This position is for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist responsible for supporting daily accounting operations. The role involves core transactional accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash reconciliations, payment posting and daily cash management. The ideal candidate will have experience in both AP and AR functions and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience in the insurance industry and familiarity with unclaimed property filings are a plus, although training can be provided.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry, coding and payment runs.
• Manage accounts receivable activities such as invoicing, payment posting and customer account maintenance.
• Perform daily cash management tasks, monitor cash balances and prepare cash activity reports.
• Complete cash reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests.
• Assist with unclaimed property filings, with training available if needed.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and enhance workflow efficiency.
• Support the internal auditing functions as needed.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or a combined AP/AR role
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Experience with ERP or accounting software such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks or similar
• Proficiency in Excel and general computer skills
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
