Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Pension Actuary or Pension Administration Specialist to join a dynamic team supporting multiple employer pension plans. This role focuses on managing complex pension spinoff projects while providing actuarial and administrative expertise. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong project management skills who can effectively coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage large-scale projects and contribute to the efficient operation of pension plan activities.

Responsibilities:

• Manage numerous concurrent pension spinoff projects, ensuring deadlines are met across multiple parties (internal and external).
• Oversee and manage team email mailbox; document new requests in a tracking tool, assign tasks to team members and ensure timely responses.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to answer questions from participating employers.
• Prepare Excel exhibits and financial reports as requested by participating employers or leadership.
• Draft communication materials (timelines, FAQs and other correspondence) for internal review before sharing with participating employers.
• Provide guidance and oversight to team members on project-related tasks.

• 5+ years of pension actuary or pension administration professional with experience in pension plans, participant census data and plan provisions
• Licensed pension expert (preferred)
• Project management experience
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with financial reporting and exhibits
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external correspondence
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
