Job Description:
A dynamic company specializing in insurance claims management is seeking a skilled Commercial Auto Liability Claims Examiner focusing on Bodily Injury. The organization is dedicated to providing exceptional claims services within the transportation and auto liability sectors. The successful candidate will assume a vital role in investigating, evaluating, and negotiating claims related to commercial auto accidents, with an emphasis on bodily injury and litigated files. This position can be performed remotely from any location within the United States or in a hybrid setting based in Ohio. The role demands analytical expertise, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex claims efficiently to meet client expectations and company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate all aspects of loss including coverage, liability and damages for assigned claims.
• Evaluate and negotiate moderate to complex and catastrophic injury claims, including litigated and attorney-represented cases.
• Direct defense counsel, Special Investigation Units, and other vendors to ensure timely and thorough investigations and claim resolutions.
• Manage complex exposure claims by coordinating on-site investigations, mediations and settlement conferences.
• Prepare detailed reports and present claim summaries during client reviews.
• Assess potential for subrogation and fraud, determining appropriate handling strategies for each claim.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure expenses are within budgets and policies are adhered to throughout claim resolution.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Valid state adjuster licensure; additional licenses may be required based on client locations
• Proven experience managing bodily injury, attorney-represented, and litigated claims in commercial auto or trucking insurance
• Strong understanding of insurance principles, coverage and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to cover after-hours accident reporting line as necessary
• Physical ability to work in an office or home setting for extended periods, with capability for visual and verbal communication
• Skilled in preparing detailed reports, correspondence and assessments
