Life Insurance Customer Care Advisor - New Business

Job Description:
Our life insurance client is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused New Business Customer Care Advisor to support applicants through the life insurance application and underwriting process. This contractor role is responsible for delivering exceptional service across phone and email channels while ensuring a seamless customer experience from application submission through policy approval.
Responsibilities:

Assist customers with new life insurance applications and underwriting-related inquiries.

Guide applicants through application requirements, next steps and documentation requests.

Deliver high-quality omni-channel support via phone, email and chat.

Maintain service level expectations for response times and issue resolution.

Escalate complex underwriting or application concerns appropriately.

Accurately document customer interactions within CRM and internal systems.

Follow up on pending customer requests and outstanding requirements.

Raise support tickets through internal ticketing system and follow up through completion.

Maintain operational efficiency by meeting or exceeding our contact center's Real-Time Adherence benchmarks.

Maintain professionalism, empathy and accuracy in all customer interactions.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of customer issues.

Support operational initiatives, process improvements and workflow updates as needed.

Successfully complete all required company and department training within the designated timeframes.

Consistently follow company policies regarding mandatory camera usage during team meetings, training sessions, and coaching. Professional conduct and active engagement are expected at all times.
Requirements:
-
3+ years of CSR experience

Strong communication and active listening skills
-
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Experience using CRM systems, ticketing platforms, and customer support tools

Strong organizational and time management skills
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-
Life insurance experience (strongly preferred)
-
Experience with Strike or Adyen Payment System (preferred)

Ability to not miss any time during the 4-6 weeks of training
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay for this position is $22 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
