National Sales Executive

Job Description:
The National Sales Executive is responsible for driving national business development efforts, expanding market presence, and building strategic relationships with brokers, consultants and clients. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities, managing renewals, and supporting long-term client retention and growth. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated sales professional with strong relationship-building skills, a consultative sales approach and experience navigating complex healthcare or employee benefits environments.
Responsibilities:

Manage and grow a book of business through renewals, retention strategies and new business development.

Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, consultants and clients to drive revenue growth and long-term partnerships.

Prospect and engage new broker and consultant relationships through proactive outreach and business development activities.

Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market share within assigned territories and target markets.

Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated client and broker concerns, ensuring timely resolution and high levels of satisfaction.

Develop a deep understanding of products, services, technology solutions and market trends to effectively position offerings.

Maintain awareness of competitive market dynamics, local networks and industry developments.

Establish and maintain a strong market presence through regular travel and in-person meetings with brokers, consultants and clients.

Collaborate with internal teams to support client needs, sales initiatives and business objectives.
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered

2+ years of sales, business development, account management or related experience

Experience within self-funded healthcare, employee benefits, third-party administration (TPA) or related healthcare services (preferred)

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence brokers, consultants, clients and internal stakeholders

Strong verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills

Experience working with technical teams and discussing technology-enabled solutions

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, virtual meeting platforms and CRM or sales management tools

Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Willingness and ability to travel regularly within assigned territories and nationally as business needs require
