Surplus Lines Support Specialist

Job Description:
This role supports the Policy Services Supervisor by ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance standards. It does not involve managing daily operations or processing tasks. The primary focus is to oversee policy administration functions, ensuring they are executed in accordance with state laws. This position requires a candidate with industry expertise in excess and surplus lines insurance, particularly within wholesale brokerage, MGA or program administrator environments.
Responsibilities:

Assist the Policy Services Supervisor to implement and uphold compliance standards across policy administration functions.

Ensure all policy admin activities are performed in accordance with applicable state laws and regulations.

Review and monitor policy documentation for accuracy and compliance.

Support internal teams by providing guidance on statutory requirements and best practices.

Utilize Surplus Lines AIM software to facilitate policy management tasks.
Requirements:
-
3+ years of excess and surplus lines underwriting assistant, account assistant or CSR experience within wholesale brokerage, MGA or program administrator environments
-
Experience with surplus lines AIM software

Active property and casualty insurance license (preferred)

Surplus lines license (preferred) where applicable

Professional designations such as CIC, CISR, ARM or CPCU (preferred)

Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage candidates to apply even if they feel that their desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
