Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Manage workers' compensation claims, focusing on indemnity cases with some medical-only claims.
• Investigate each claim’s compensability and determine appropriate exposure levels.
• Set reserves based on claim assessments and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate and manage medical and indemnity benefits for claimants when required.
• Communicate consistently and effectively with agents, policyholders, and internal teams to provide updates and gather information.
• Ensure compliance with jurisdictional regulations, specifically in Virginia and other Atlantic states.

Requirements:

• 3+ years recent lost time adjuster experience with jurisdictional expertise in Virginia and other Atlantic states
• Familiarity with managing indemnity claims in workers' compensation
• Excellent time management, communication and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
• No licensing required for Virginia, but a designated home state license is a plus

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
