Job Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Actuarial Senior Consultant to lead the analysis and interpretation of affiliated reinsurance results for their individual life and pension risk transfer business under U.S. GAAP and Bermuda STAT. This person will be self-directed in driving analysis and insights, and will work in close partnership with finance and valuation teams. This role will play a pivotal part in enhancing the company's understanding of profitability, financial capacity and business performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop and execute quarterly reporting processes for affiliated reinsurance including analysis of profitability, reserve movements and earnings patterns.
  • Collaborate with finance, valuation, modeling and product teams to ensure consistency and transparency in financial reporting.
  • Identify and communicate key drivers of financial performance to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Enhance reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility into metrics and financial capacity.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner while also being hands-on—digging into data, validating model outputs and troubleshooting complex issues.
  • Develop and enact frameworks for solvency, liquidity stress testing, attribution analysis and risk appetite calibrations.

Requirements:
  • FSA designation (or near-FSA with significant progress)
  • 10+ years of actuarial and finance experience, with a strong focus on affiliated reinsurance
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and Bermuda STAT regulations
  • Strong knowledge of individual life insurance and pension risk transfer products
  • Demonstrated experience with financial modeling, reserve analysis and earnings attribution
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence decision-making at senior levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • A mindset that balances strategic thinking with a willingness to get into the weeds and solve problems at the ground level

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $110-$120 per hour, based on experience. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
