Job Description:

A leading organization in the insurance and risk management industry is seeking an experienced Executive Account Manager. The company specializes in providing tailored risk solutions to diverse client organizations and requires a dedicated professional to oversee key accounts. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to members and brokers, ensuring service excellence, account retention, and the development of new business opportunities. This role involves managing complex member relationships, coordinating with internal teams and delivering customized risk management solutions to meet each organization's unique needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of each assigned member’s organizational structure and risk profile to anticipate needs and propose tailored solutions.

  • Respond proactively and professionally to verbal and written inquiries from members and brokers, ensuring coverage needs and coverage details are clearly communicated and documented.

  • Conduct stewardship visits, conference calls, annual underwriting reviews and detailed coverage assessments with members, which may involve overnight travel.

  • Accurately enter data related to schedule adjustments, coverage endorsements, audits, certificates of insurance and new or consolidated accounts, maintaining data integrity in internal systems.

  • Review complex requests for certificates of insurance, ensuring member compliance with contractual requirements and assessing whether coverage and limits are adequate.

  • Evaluate members' insurance coverage as instructed, providing precise and thorough policy summaries for internal use and carrier communication.

  • Collaborate with operational teams to manage member receivables and account cancellations effectively.

  • Respond promptly to inquiries from claims personnel regarding coverage, limits and deductibles, providing necessary information to support loss adjustments without offering legal or coverage advice.

  • Gather and analyze data for special projects and new product initiatives to serve members better and support favorable coverage negotiations.

  • Identify additional coverage options for member organizations, explain company products and facilitate referrals to appropriate internal representatives.

  • Occasionally travel locally or out of state to meet with members, perform reviews and participate in relevant conferences.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal departments, external trust members, brokers, claims adjusters and other partners to ensure seamless service delivery.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience in commercial property and casualty insurance account management, underwriting and or rating

  • Current Illinois Insurance Producers License

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail with the ability to interpret instructions accurately and prioritize workload efficiently

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with operational knowledge of standard office equipment

  • Ability to work using significant amounts of sitting, typing, talking on the phone and traveling by plane

Pay Range:

The anticipated salary for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 annually. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
