Remote Financial Analyst

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst to support enterprise-level financial reporting and analysis, with a strong emphasis on IFRS 17 consolidation and consolidated reporting to a holding company. This consultant will partner cross-functionally with accounting and actuarial stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant results, while also driving process improvements across reporting and financial systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead consolidation of IFRS 17 financial results across business units; prepare reporting packages for Holding Company

  • Ensure accurate/timely/compliant reporting aligned with IFRS 17 and internal controls

  • Prepare, review and post journal entries; validate accounting transactions; support month/quarter close

  • Build forecasts, budgets and long-range plans; analyze trends; deliver insights to senior leadership

  • Provide financial analysis for enterprise strategy and operational decision-making

  • Partner with actuarial, accounting and operations on assumptions/methodologies/reporting requirements

  • Identify and implement process improvements (reporting, data quality, financial systems)


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting (or related)

  • CPA/CFA and/or actuarial experience (preferred)

  • 5+ years in financial reporting, FP&A or accounting within insurance/financial services

  • Deep knowledge of IFRS 17 and insurance accounting/reporting frameworks

  • Strong journal entry and consolidation experience

  • Advanced financial systems skills (SAP, Oracle, TM1, Power BI, etc.)

  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills


Pay Range:
The anticipated pay for this position is $45 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
