Job Description:

Seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Manager II to lead complex spend categories through strategic sourcing, contract management, negotiation, and supplier relationship practices. This role involves building strong internal partnerships, ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating risk, and contributing to the organization's profitability. The ideal candidate will focus on areas including IT core relationships, professional services, marketing, and healthcare services/pharmacy. The position requires a proactive leader capable of driving change, guiding teams, and leveraging technology to optimize procurement processes in a remote work environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop sustainable sourcing strategies for complex spend categories by analyzing market trends, geographic considerations and strategic importance.

  • Lead sourcing events to secure competitive advantages in materials, supplies and services.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.

  • Manage supplier lifecycle including performance reviews, contract compliance, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure cost savings and favorable terms for the organization.

  • Monitor market conditions regularly and adjust sourcing strategies as needed to manage risks and optimize costs.

  • Utilize procurement software including eSourcing and contract lifecycle management tools to manage sourcing processes, RFx, and approvals.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to meet their procurement needs and ensure policy compliance.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes and team development.

  • Support the organization’s social program initiatives such as M/WBE efforts and other supplier diversity strategies.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technology

  • 10+ years of procurement or supply chain experience

  • 4+ years of strategic sourcing experience

  • Advanced contracting, negotiation, and contract management skills

  • Proven leadership in driving change and managing teams

  • Deep understanding of supply chain fundamentals

  • Experience with industry-specific spend categories including IT, professional services, and healthcare

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, IBM Desktop Software, and procurement tools such as PeopleSoft, eSourcing, and CLM software

  • Ability to work remotely, willing to work Pacific Time Zone hours

  • Experience crafting LOAs, MSAs, ICAs, SOWs and PCRs preferred

  • Understanding of co-employment laws for contingent workforce management

  • Supply chain or procurement certifications (preferred)


Pay Range:

The anticipated pay for this position is $57.58 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage applications even if desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. Final pay is determined based on relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, market conditions, and internal equity.
