Strategic Sourcing Manager III

Job Description:
This position is responsible for delivering best-in-class strategic sourcing, contract management and negotiation. The role involves developing category strategies for complex indirect spend categories within assigned areas of responsibility and serving as the primary contact for business customers. The Strategic Sourcing Manager III will facilitate fact-based group decisions with significant operational or financial impact. The position requires building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, identifying savings opportunities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating organizational risk. The individual will lead sourcing events, negotiate contracts, and develop supplier relationships to maximize value and support company objectives.


Responsibilities:

  • Create and influence category strategies within designated business units to align with organizational goals.
  • Lead comprehensive sourcing events including market analysis, RFx processes, and contract negotiations to generate value.
  • Develop sustainable sourcing strategies based on spend profiles, market conditions, and strategic priorities.
  • Negotiate and draft statements of work for complex categories to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Prepare and present executive summaries for contracts and secure necessary approvals in accordance with governance policies.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships, resolving issues collaboratively with Supplier Relationship Managers.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, onboarding, and performance management to ensure ongoing service quality.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities through data analysis, spend analytics, and financial modeling.
  • Drive continuous improvements in procurement processes and contractual frameworks to optimize cost and service quality.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to facilitate decision making and project execution.
  • Maintain compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies throughout all sourcing activities.


Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing, contract fundamentals, and indirect spend categories including professional services and BPOs
  • Demonstrated experience with the 7-step strategic sourcing process and RFx sourcing techniques
  • Proven negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive results
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multi-departmental sourcing events
  • Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities across diverse groups and leadership levels
  • Ability to develop and analyze business cases, spend analytics, and financial models
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management or related field
  • Certification in supply chain, procurement or contract management (preferred)


Pay Range:
The anticipated pay for this position is $60.61 per hour. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search and encourage applications even if desired compensation may fall outside of this range. The final pay is determined based on factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, market conditions and internal considerations.
