Job Description:
This position involves investigating, evaluating, proactively managing, negotiating, and settling workers' compensation indemnity and medical claims primarily in Kentucky. The role requires candidates to travel at least once a month for a few days. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling claims efficiently and maintaining communication with all relevant parties. This is a remote opportunity with some travel to Kentucky. Candidates must be prepared to work within these parameters.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate workers' compensation claims thoroughly to determine validity and scope.
• Evaluate medical and indemnity claims to ensure appropriate resolution and settlement.
• Proactively manage claims to prevent delays and escalate issues when necessary.
• Negotiate settlements with involved parties in accordance with company guidelines and legal standards.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all claim activities and communications.
• Travel approximately once a month to for 2-3 days at company expense.
• Use claim handling systems and Microsoft Office applications to manage case data effectively.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with claimants, medical providers, legal teams, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of recent experience handling Kentucky workers' compensation medical and indemnity claims
• Active workers' compensation adjuster license in Kentucky
• PC literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Experience with claims handling systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage travel commitments effectively

Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00 per hour. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
