Auto Claims Adjuster

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Auto Claims Adjuster to join our client’s team. This is a direct hire position with a property and casualty insurance company based out of Connecticut that has been in operation for more than a century. They offer a good work-life balance and lightened caseloads, focusing on quality over quantity. It will be a hybrid work schedule out of their Connecticut office.
Responsibilities:

Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate auto claims, including physical damage and potentially minor bodily injury claims, ensuring fairness and efficiency.

Communicate clearly and empathetically with policyholders, claimants, repair shops and other parties involved, explaining coverage, process and settlement details.

Analyze claim documentation, such as police reports, photos, witness statements and repair estimates, to determine liability and assess damages.

Maintain accurate and thorough records of all claim activity in our systems.

Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure a seamless claims experience.

Manage a caseload of pending 50, APD and small BI.
Requirements:

3+ years of experience in personal auto claims with auto damage appraisal and small bodily injury

Solid understanding of insurance policies, relevant state laws and the litigation process

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with a track record of successful settlements

Ability to take ownership of files, even when litigation is involved
- Guidewire (full suite), H Marley (SMS program), Insurtech, predictive analytics, data analytics, preferred
- Active adjuster license in state where you reside (CT, MA or RI) and willingness to get additional licenses as needed (company to assist)

Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience

Exceptional communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

An eagerness to learn, adapt and embrace new technologies

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a supportive team
Pay Range:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $65,000-70,000 annually. We understand salary is an important factor in a job search, and we encourage you to apply even if you feel that your desired compensation may fall outside of the listed range. The final pay for this position is determined based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant experience, skills and certifications, education and training, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
